6 Portfolio prioritization & dependencies

Choose the most valuable use of shared capacity.

When PMs compete for the same teams, make one explicit portfolio choice - and show why.

01 / Qualify

Define the choice

Handle mandatory regulatory or critical risk work first. For everything else, each PM states the problem, baseline and expected outcome.

Evidence · affected brands · guardrails
02 / Compare

Apply one rule

Prefer the highest credible contribution to ×2 GGR per week of the scarce team. Consider confidence and the cost of waiting.

Cross-brand reach is included in the expected impact.
03 / Decide

Choose now vs next

The Product Lead selects the priority, names what waits, and records the reason and trigger to revisit it.

One committed sequence for shared teams.
Dependency rule

Show the owner, needed work, available slot and blocker for each shared team. No critical owner or confirmed slot → do not start that work; keep its priority visible.

Decision rights: PM owns the outcome · Team lead confirms capacity · Product Lead decides cross-PM order.

Example: If Accertify has stronger evidence for first-deposit impact across brands while Loyalty's retention effect is still uncertain, give PAM/Data capacity to Accertify. Validate Loyalty before committing its full build.
